Okay, I have been posting songs selected from songs that I posted a while back, scrolling through the years.
I started two weeks ago, with songs of 1965.
Last week I used songs from 1966, but I added a few that were not from 1966.
This week I want to post a few songs that came to my attention a few days ago, songs that made me feel so intense, that they made me cry.
So, I want to post those songs, then a few from 1967.
First, two songs by John Lennon:
When that song came out, I was working very hard, living paycheck to paycheck.
I was working at my workplace, then coming home and taking care of my wife, Pam, who was very disabled.
(Thank you, everyone who paid your taxes, for paying for a Medicaid home health aide to take care of Pam while I was at work.)
Next, the song that most folks have at the top of their John Lennon list:
After Pam died, in 2008, and before I married my second wife, Tonia, this next song gave me a lot of comfort.
This song seems to be based loosely on Imagine:
Powerful.
Another song that got me feeling very emotional in recent days, is a song that I feel is the true National Anthem of the USA.
Not the official one.
But the true one.
Before I post it, let me post the official one:
Okay, my second wife, Tonia, who I married in 2011, and who died in 2022, she was a Black woman.
I have heard that there is a Black National Anthem:
The Star Spangled Banner seems to be about killing, in war time.
That Black one seems nicer.
But with the recent commentary about immigrants, (I am surrounded by immigrants in my apartment complex) I find myself embracing this song as the true National Anthem for the USA:
That feels so right.
Okay, now I will post a few songs from my Music of 1967 diary, that was posted here at Daily Kos in December of 2022.

Fun!
So smooth and nice.
Once again, truly smooth, and very nice!
Ha!
We all need a little respect!
Ha!
Okay, on that note, as they say, I will quit posting songs here, for this week.
Feel free to post any songs you like in the comments.
Hugs!
